China’s Ministry of Culture has agreed to let companies like Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo make and sell their video game systems throughout the nation. Still censorship of some games will be upheld but for now the gates have been opened. Since the ban regulators limited foreign console makers, such as Sony and Nintendo to function only in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone which limited sales of the consoles in the country. Because of this Chinese gamers have made the PC and cell phones their overall source of gaming. Concerns from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo has them figuring out how they’re going to get the Chinese back into the console market. More Chinese are expected to be seen on the console market but nobody knows if the console concept will completely take off like it has in North America and Europe.
